The Uttar Pradesh government intends to construct a theme park dubbed ‘Ram Land’ to promote Ayodhya as a significant tourist attraction around the world. It is modeled after California’s popular Disneyland, but it will be focused on Ramayana events and will promote Lord Rama’s beliefs and virtues.

According to tourist officials, the theme park, formally called Ayodhya Imaginative and Prescient 2047, is expected to cost several crores of rupees and will likely take till the end of next year to finish development on the site.

In addition to cutting-edge recreational options and adrenaline attractions, there will be a separate area for religious tourists. The park aims to provide tourists with a unique educational experience as well as entertainment that appeals to both children and adults.

“In the spiritual city of Ayodhya, we’ve always wanted to create something that would appeal to people of all ages.” Theme parks were the most financially viable option. The move “will not only be a major tourist attraction but will also make Ayodhya a global tourism hotspot,” Mukesh Meshram, Uttar Pradesh’s Principal Secretary, told Business Standard.

“This would be an infotainment section where tourists would be informed about Lord Rama’s stories.” It would also serve to make the current generation aware of Lord Rama’s moral principles,” the official said.

Ayodhya is receiving major renovations.

According to sources, the state government is carrying out the city’s current development projects at a cost of roughly Rs 30,000 crore.

According to Construction World magazine, the government would support approximately 260 projects in the domains of tourism, aviation, infrastructure, housing, medicine, energy, culture, urban development, transportation, and so on.

According to the Indian Express, the UP Cabinet earmarked Rs 400 crore for infrastructure projects in March and approved the plan to establish nine-meter-wide utility service lanes on both sides of “Dharma Path” as well as landscaping on roughly three-meter-wide strips on both sides of the road.

“The government has presented its Uttar Pradesh Tourism Policy 2022, and companies are expressing strong interest in various hospitality and tourism infrastructure projects,” Meshram told the source.

He added that the state government would erect six beautiful arched entrances on the roadways leading to Ayodhya. Six different ways to go to Ayodhya from Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Gonda, Ambedkarnagar, and other cities.

One of the forthcoming projects is the world’s highest statue of Lord Ram. The projected statue would cost approximately 2,500 crore rupees. Riverfront work is also underway from Guptar Ghat to Naya Ghat.

The Yogi Adityanath administration plans to develop the Gomti River Front in the capital along the same lines as the seven-kilometer stretch between Guptar Ghat and Naya Ghat. Its development has already begun.
