In honor of Lord Krishna, PM Modi offered peacock feathers as a sacrifice in the historic city of Dwarka.

Today, at the historic site of Dwarka, Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed an underwater pooja by plunging into the Arabian Sea off the coast of Gujarat.

Renowned for its association with Lord Krishna, Dwarka was formerly a prosperous metropolis that is presently thought to have been submerged beneath the ocean for millennia.

'Sudarshan Setu' was inaugurated by the Prime Minister.

In Gujarat’s Devbhumi Dwarka district, the Prime Minister earlier today dedicated “Sudarshan Setu,” the nation’s longest cable-stayed bridge, spanning 2.32 kilometers across the Arabian Sea and joining the mainland Okha with the island of Beyt Dwarka.

The pathway of the bridge is decorated with words from the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and images of Lord Krishna on both sides, giving it a distinctive look.

An official announcement states that the 2.32 km bridge, which includes a 900 m central double span cable-stayed component and a 2.45 km approach road, was built for ₹ 979 crore.

Pictures of Prime Minister Modi diving into the blue waters in dive gear and praying at the historically and spiritually significant location became popular on social media.

In honor of the historic city, PM Modi offered peacock feathers as a symbolic sacrifice to Lord Krishna. l media.

“To pray in the city of Dwarka, which is immersed in the waters, was a very divine experience,” PM Modi wrote on X, sharing his experience. I was transported back to a bygone era of sublime spirituality and unending devotion. May we all be blessed by Bhagwan Shri Krishna.”

“Dwarka Darshan under the waters…where the spiritual and the historical converge, where every moment was a divine melody echoing Bhagwan Shri Krishna’s eternal presence,” he later posted on X, describing his diving experience.
