Why We Celebrate Radhaastami : Spiritual Significance

Radhastami commemorates the birth of Goddess Radha, Lord Krishna’s everlasting spouse and the personification of heavenly love, devotion, and joy energy (or Hladini Shakti). She is considered as an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi and the interior power of Krishna.

Her love for Krishna represents pure, unselfish devotion. Devotees believe that worshiping Radha provides wealth, tranquility, and helps satisfy sincere aspirations, particularly the desire for children. Fasting and doing pujas on this day are believed to cleanse the heart and soul.
