1. The Lion and the Smart Rabbit

A long time ago, there was a strong cat that lived in a deep forest. Every animal was afraid of him because he was so strong. The lion would hunt and eat more animals than he needed every day. The animals got together to talk because they were scared.

They chose to send one animal every day for the lion to eat. The cat agreed.

The bunny had its turn one day. The rabbit was very smart. He took his time and got to the lion’s cave late. “Why are you so late?” the lion growled.

The rabbit bowed and said, “Oh great king, I met another lion in the forest who said he was stronger than you.” I was stopped.

The cat was very angry. “Take me to him!”

The rabbit led the lion to a well and told it, “The other lion is inside.” The lion looked down into the well and saw himself in the water. He jumped in because he thought it was another lion and drowned.

The rabbit came back happy, and all the animals were happy to be free.

The moral is that smarts are better than power.
