1.Automatic system to draw back clothes hung for drying during rain

Name: Piyush Agarwal, From Hazaribag, Jharkhand Who Invented This. He was Awarded On 2009 in IGNITE 2009 Award Function.

Unique Innovation

How Does It Works?

The motorized system of the clothesline is sensor-driven. The cables in the motor are submerged in salt water. The salt conducts electricity by absorbing moisture when it rains. This starts the engine. The clothes-hanging line is subsequently pulled inside, sparing women from having to perform an extra task.

Piyush had this idea after witnessing his mother frequently remove and rehang garments throughout the day, particularly during the wet season.
