Garlic Butter Lemon Pasta Ingredients
- 8 oz Spaghetti or Linguine
- 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 Large Lemon (zested and juiced)
- 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup Reserved pasta water
- Fresh parsley and red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Boil the Pasta: Cook pasta in salted water according to package directions. Important: Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Sauté Garlic: While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Create Sauce: Stir in the lemon juice and half of the lemon zest. Add the cooked pasta directly to the skillet.
- Emulsify: Pour in the reserved pasta water and Parmesan cheese. Toss vigorously over low heat until a creamy sauce coats the noodles.
- Finish: Top with remaining zest, fresh parsley, and red pepper flakes. Serve immediately.
