Akshaya Tritiya, this is the most propitious day in the Hindu calendar, is said to usher limitless prosperity, achievement, and blessings of god. Occurring on the third day (Tritiya) of the bright half (Shukla Paksha) of Vaishakha month, this day is said to be very auspicious for new endeavors, donations, and investment—especially in gold.

1. The Legend of Lord Vishnu & Kuber
It is said that the 6th avatar of Lord Vishnu, Lord Parashurama, was born on this day. representing destruction of evil and guarding dharma.

The Akshaya Patra bestowed upon Draupadi by Lord Krishna represents boundless abundance.

2. The Mahabharata Connection
It is said that Vyasa Muni started dictating the Mahabharata to Lord Ganesha on this day.

This is the beginning of Satya Yuga (Golden Age) and hence considered best for new beginnings.

4. Sudama & Lord Krishna
Sudama, a poor Brahmin, presented poha to Krishna on Akshaya Tritiya. As a return gift, Krishna showered him with unimaginable wealth.

Mother Ganga descended to Earth, according to scriptures, cleansing all souls.
