Sciver-Brunt announced at the toss that Harmanpreet would miss their game against RCB but expressed optimism that she would be well enough to play in their subsequent match. On March 5, MI will play the Delhi Capitals.

In the opening match of the 2024 WPL season, Harmanpreet struck seven boundaries and one six while hitting 55 runs off just 34 balls against the Delhi Capitals. On the game’s final ball, MI needed to score 172 runs, and her knock enabled them to do so.

In the WPL 2023 auction, Harmanpreet—who leads India in all game formats—joined the Mumbai Indians for a sum of Rs 1.80 crore. In the inaugural season of the WPL in 2023, she guided the Mumbai Indians to victory over Meg Lanning’s Delhi Capitals in the championship game.
