Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Delhi Capitals by 47 runs on Sunday, reviving their playoff hopes while also setting a record for the 2024 Indian Premier League season. Before this five-match winning streak this season, RCB had lost seven of their previous eight.
Led by Rajat Patidar’s 32-ball 52 and useful contributions from Will Jacks (29 off 41 balls), Cameron Green (32 off 24), and Virat Kohli (27 off 13), RCB scored a competitive 187 for 9 after being asked to bat first by Delhi Capitals, who Axar Patel led in the absence of Rishabh Pant, who was suspended for one match.
