Phil salt : On August 28, 1996, Phil Salt was born in Bodelwyddan, Denbighshire, Wales. He went to Chester for school and grew up playing cricket in St Asaph, North East Wales. Salt’s cricketing foundations were further developed when his family relocated to Barbados when he was ten years old, allowing him to play for either England or the West Indies. He went back to the UK at the age of 15 on a cricket scholarship to attend Reed’s School.

Salt began his domestic career as a member of Guildford Cricket Club in 2013. Prior to the 2014 season, he joined the Sussex Academy. In 2015, he made his Sussex List A debut, and in 2016, he made his first-class debut. He has played for numerous teams throughout the years, including the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash, the Pakistan Super League, the Indian Premier League (IPL), and England’s domestic leagues. Notably, before the 2022 season, he relocated from Sussex to Lancashire.

  • On July 8, 2021, Salt played his first One-Day International (ODI) for England against Pakistan.
