Indian motorcycle manufacturer TVS Motor on Wednesday launched its electric two-wheeler in the UAE.
The company priced the electric scooter – named TVS-X  at Rs249,990 (Dh11,120), with the first 2,000 buyers getting additional benefits.

The TVS Motor Company’s director and CEO, KN Radhakrishnan, stated that bookings were started and deliveries will commence in India in November 2023. During the introduction, Radhakrishnan stated,
“We plan to expand it to other cities in the last quarter of this fiscal year.”
The TVS e-scooter will be made available in the UAE and other international markets as of the beginning of the financial year that comes next in April, according to the chief executive. He continued that prices in the UAE would be competitive.

Moment of Pride for India A few hours after 6.04 pm IST, when India and the world received and applauded the electrifying news of the Chandrayaan-3 Lander Module touching down on the moon, TVS Motor Co unveiled its second electric scooter – the TVS X – at a mega event held at the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building in Dubai.

The Chennai-headquartered two-wheeler manufacturer has pinned its focus on the design, performance and connectivity aspects of its latest electric offering which will go to market in November 2023. The X will be first rolled out in Bengaluru, with subsequent launches in at least 15 cities by the end of FY2024.

The all-new TVS X is based on TVS’ ‘form-follows-function’ design approach while ensuring desirability as well as the disruptive nature of the product attributes. “The X is a mystery and is not restricted to any boundaries of either the conventional scooter or motorcycle design in the market,” said a company official while showcasing the product.

In 2020, the business released the iQube, its first electric scooter. It costs Rs123,776 in Delhi. “It has grown to be one of the top brands in just three years, with hundreds of thousands of happy customers. And things look much more hopeful in the future,” said Sudarshan Venu
