The only trophy missing from Chopra’s adorned trophy cabinet was the gold medal he won at the World Championships on Sunday, making him the first Indian to do so.
Neeraj Chopra just gave us the Moon landing in reverse, when he flung his thunderbolt in the warm Budapestair. Flying across lands, sneaking over borders, spanning generations perhaps, it was headed homewards, landing silently, piercing our collective consciousness as a sporting never-before. “I need to thank my kindred Indians back home for their late-night vigil for this”.
