Dhurandhar : With his next movie Dhurandhar, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is prepared to dive into a gritty, action-packed universe, and the first glimpse has ignited the internet.

Storyteller & Director of Dhurandhar
Aditya Dhar, best known for Uri: The Surgical Strike, wrote, directed, and co-produced the movie.
According to reports, the story is “inspired by true events” and has its roots in the realm of high-stakes risk and espionage. Ranveer, with his long hair, scruffy beard, and cigarette in hand, was previously shown in the first look teaser as a beaten-up, brooding man who was escaping a calm exterior before releasing rage.
Cast & Crew
The ensemble cast is star-studded:
- Ranveer Singh in the lead role.
- Sanjay Dutt: a key presence in the film.
- R. Madhavan: also part of the high-impact cast.
- Akshaye Khanna: reportedly playing a major antagonist.
- Arjun Rampal: in a gritty role, rounding out the main ensemble.
Behind the camera: the music is composed by Shashwat Sachdev (with involvement of the original track legacy) and production is handled by Jio Studios & B62 Studios.
Sound and Music
Dhurandhar’s soundtrack is expected to be powerful. Ranveer’s rebel persona has a sonic edge thanks to the title tune, which is a modern rap-fusion rendition of the 1995 smash “Na Dil De Pardesi Nu.”
Sharp action, edge, and unadulterated drama permeate the film’s soundtrack.
Date of Release and Expectations
Put this on your calendar: On December 5, 2025, Dhurandhar is slated to open in theaters.
The first week of December is a crucial time; major motion pictures frequently target this window.
What this initial glance reveals:
- Anticipate intense action, a thriller scenario reminiscent of espionage, and a protagonist pushed to the brink.
- An avatar of Ranveer Singh that is deeper and more intense than his typical flashy self.
- This has the makings of a large-scale thriller and is more than just a solo star vehicle thanks to strong ensemble support.
- In addition to design, music will be a major factor in setting the mood.
- There is an additional degree of realism and potential national security stakes because it is “inspired by true events.”
