- In the opening Twenty 20 international of a three-game series in Kingston on Thursday, West Indies defeated South Africa by 28 runs behind a score of 79 from stand-in captain Brandon King.
- West Indies made 175-8 in their 20 overs thanks to the impressive innings of opener King, who filled in for captain Rovman Powell while he was abroad for the IPL. King scored runs off 45 balls and hit six sixes and six boundaries.
