Who is Kali?

One of Goddess Durga’s most potent forms is Kali, who stands for Shakti, or the divine feminine energy. She transcends time and space, as indicated by her name, which is derived from the Sanskrit word “Kala” (time). With a sword in hand, a garland of skulls, and black complexion, she is portrayed as fierce, representing her capacity to vanquish bad powers, ignorance, and ego.

As a protector of justice and truth, Kali is essential to Kaliyuga. Her main duties consist of:

Destroying Adharma: Kali vanquishes bad forces, signifying the annihilation of negativity in both people and society.
Restoring Dharma: By promoting commitment, honesty, and morality, she aids in reestablishing equilibrium.
Guiding Devotees: Even in this difficult time, people can achieve spiritual emancipation by overcoming ignorance and ego via devotion to Kali.
