Vantara, Anant Ambani’s massive wildlife conservation effort, attempts to save and rehabilitate animals all over the world. It is slated to grow to be the world’s largest zoo and rehabilitation facility, covering 3,000 acres. Vantara, which translates to “Star of the Forest,” is a sanctuary that promotes harmony and cooperation between people and wildlife. It is housed within the grounds of Reliance’s Jamnagar Refinery Complex in Gujarat.
About the Ambani's Project
Vantara opened on February 26, 2024, and provides top-notch accommodation for various animal species, including tigers, lions, crocodiles, leopards, and elephants. The center offers several water bodies, hydrotherapy pools, and a giant elephant jacuzzi for arthritis treatment, in addition to well-designed animal enclosures.
The hospital and medical research center cover an area of 1 lakh square feet and are equipped with advanced facilities such as MRI, X-ray, ICU, CT scan, dental scalers, endoscopy, lithotripsy, dialysis, ultrasound, and video conferencing for surgeries. The Elephant Hospital is an upscale facility that offers specialized care and features a pathology lab, laser technology, and hyperbaric oxygen chambers.
Ayurvedic doctors are on hand to provide round-the-clock care, including multani-mitti massages for the elephants, ensuring their well-being.
Expert chefs work in the 14,000-square-foot kitchen, which serves carefully prepared meals based on the individual requirements and dental health concerns of each elephant.
